Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Program (JJDP)
Title II of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Program (JJDP) is a federal formula grant program implemented by the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974, as amended through 1992. The purpose of the Act is to provide a comprehensive, coordinated approach to the problems of juvenile delinquency, to improve the Juvenile Justice System in the state and to comply with core requirements of the Act. The program serves juveniles either at risk or already in the system and agencies that provide services to them.
Violence Against Women Act Formula Grant Program The Services * Training * Officers * Prosecutors (STOP) Violence Against Women Formula Grant Program (CFDA #16.588) is a component of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) authorized by the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) in 1995. (See 34 U.S.C. §§ 10103(c)(19).) The STOP Formula Grant Program enhances the capacity of local communities, including American Indian tribes and Alaska Native villages, in their efforts to develop and strengthen effective law enforcement and prosecution strategies to combat violent crimes against women and to develop and strengthen victim services in cases involving violence crimes against women. STOP funds are provided to law enforcement, prosecutors, victim service providers, state and local courts, and other discretionary agencies. Priority is given to programs providing assistance to victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking.
